My Favorite Place Onboard

Rudi:

My favorite space on our river cruise ships is the Main Lounge because it offers the best views from any interior area and because of its unlimited multi-use function. From morning yoga and early riser coffee, followed by food and bar service, including tapas and tea time throughout the day, the Main Lounge is also the central meeting point for passengers coming and going from excursions. It also offers quiet areas to read, relax and enjoy the river views passing by. After dinner, the Main Lounge turns into the entertainment hub, with evening performances, dancing and bar service until the last guest leaves.

Gary:

I love our two private Wine Rooms just off to the sides of the Main Restaurant. Each room welcomes ten guests and the décor and ambiance is so warm and inviting. The large oval tables seem to be the perfect size for encouraging lively dinner conversations. I often meet guests in the lounge during our pre-dinner Sip & Sail cocktail hour and really enjoy inviting a small group of them to join me for dinner in one of our Wine Rooms. More often than not, the conversation gets a bit jovial, but since the Wine Rooms are separated, you never have to worry about disturbing other guests in the Main Restaurant.

Kristin:

One of my favorite places on our ships is the Sun Deck. I really enjoy an early morning walk around the deck and also love to join our Wellness Hosts for the open-air exercise classes whenever weather permits. It's also a fantastic place to enjoy our ice cream parties and barbecues, and it provides the perfect front row seats for our evening Illumination cruise in Budapest and daytime cruising past the 40 castles nestled on the hill tops of the Rhine Gorge. Whether relaxing on a lounge chair with a Rüdesheimer Coffee or cooling off at the swim-up bar, the Sun Deck is my special place to soak in the scenery while onboard.
