AMAWATERWAYS UNVEILS NEW 2024 ITINERARY FOR WINE ENTHUSIASTS
Leading river cruise line shares details of new ‘Flavours of Burgundy’ Itinerary
Luxury river cruise line AmaWaterways has announced details of its newest French itinerary debuting in 2024, Flavours of Burgundy.
The new voyage takes travellers on a palate-pleasing river cruise along the Saône River between Dijon and Lyon, highlighting the distinctive French flavours in the Burgundy region.
Guests will visit some of France’s most iconic vineyards and charming châteaux as they savour exquisite regional cuisine and treats, both on board and in the ports along the way.
From tours around the city of Dijon, the ‘Birthplace of Mustard’, to Beaujolais wine tasting and exploring Lyon, ‘France’s culinary capital’, there are included excursions to appeal to all palates.
For those who wish to extend their trip, a land package comprising three-nights in Paris pre-cruise and three nights in Geneva post-cruise is also available.

These cruises offer the same itineraries and excursions but are hosted by qualified wine experts including vineyard owners, winemakers, certified sommeliers and wine educators. The hosts bring hand-selected wines on board to serve during a special meal, tastings, or seminars, all included in the price of the cruise.
Some wines come from the expert’s own winery while other selections may be sourced from wineries located along the river cruise itinerary.
Prices for the seven-night Flavours of Burgundy cruise (Saint-Jean-de-Losne to Lyon) start from €3,257 per person for the 27 June 2024 departure on AmaCello. It includes an early booking saving of €850 per person and is based on two people sharing.
